Give us your view in the Kelsall Design Code Consultation

Published: April 14, 2026

We need your feedback for the next step of the Kelsall and Willington Neighbourhood Plan!

The previous plan enabled the delivery of significant benefits to the village including the new Medical Centre, limit further building on the edges of the village, and over-55s housing. Our aim is to have drafted a revised Plan for public consultation later this year and we need the help of as many village residents as possible to make sure the Plan meets the needs of our community.

A key part of the new Plan will be a ‘Design Code’ which will direct how any new development looks in the terms of layout, materials, general appearance, parking, etc.  A residents’ survey is launching today, and will run for 4 weeks, asking  for your likes and dislikes about design features in the village. The survey is accessed at:

https://communities.createstreets.com/Kelsall

Please use this site to select and comment on up to 10 buildings or streets in Kelsall, and tell us what features you think make them a good or bad example for future development. Please make sure that if you are commenting on an individual building, you identify it using the address or the Street view feature in the map. (If you need to check an address, the Cheshire West public mapping service shows very detailed maps with house names & numbers at

https://maps.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/CWAC/webmapping/

As some residents may not be able to use the online platform, we have organised two meetings to give a short presentation on the Plan development process, and help with input to the consultation. The meetings will be on
Sunday 26 March at 4:00pm and Wednesday 29 March at 19:00pm, in St Philip’s church.

The online consultation is open until May 9th.

Kind regards,

pp. Neighbourhood Plan Team
