Speed Detector Sign

Some of you will have noticed our shiny new speed detector sign on Willington Lane at the entrance to Oaktree Court. It is portable and we plan to locate it in different spots in the village; moving it every few weeks. The device records the speed of each vehicle but captures no details of the actual vehicle. Hopefully the device will encourage drivers to drive to the speed limit.  It will also enable us to alert the police to speeding hotspots (location, day and time) so they can deploy their ‘truecam’ devices.
